About
An independent lab for better small-business web.
Gryffin Forge is the design and engineering workshop of Dariuosh, a UK-based designer and developer. It exists to explore what a small business's website could be when design, engineering and automation are treated as one craft.
Most small businesses are online through a template, a booking platform or a social profile. Those work, but they rarely answer the questions customers actually have — how much, how soon, can I trust you — at the moment they have them.
This platform collects working answers to that problem: 12 industry-specific website prototypes rendered by a single template engine, free calculators and configurators, and the automation pipelines that sit behind them — written up honestly, including the parts that did not work first time.
This release is a public technical showcase and educational resource. It does not currently offer paid services, take orders, accept bookings or process payments.
Working beats pretty
A prototype you can tap on a phone teaches more than a polished static mockup. Every idea here ships as something that runs.
Honest by default
Demos are labelled as demos, numbers are labelled as illustrations, and plans are labelled as plans. No invented clients, ratings or results.
Deterministic first
Rules, validation and clear fallbacks come before any AI model. Models are added where they earn their place, with guardrails.
Fast and frugal
Static pages at the edge, small scripts, pre-optimised media and near-zero running costs.
Design
Editorial layouts, type systems, motion and conversion-led structure.
Engineering
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, edge caching.
Automation
Data pipelines, classification, structured extraction, safe AI integration patterns.
