iPrototype for a fictional business. Saffron & Vine, its people, prices, reviews and contact details are invented placeholders; forms in the demo are simulated and send nothing. Phone numbers use Ofcom's reserved drama range.
Industry context
Restaurant sites often hide the menu in a PDF and push booking to a third-party page. On mobile, that means pinching, zooming and leaving — the opposite of what a hungry visitor wants.
Saffron & Vine explores an editorial, food-first design. The menu is real HTML organised by course, a booking panel sits beside it, and an order basket demonstrates collection and delivery flows. All dishes and prices are illustrative.
Restaurant visitors want three things: the menu, a table and directions. These concepts put a readable menu, a booking interface and an order basket within one scroll — designed mobile-first because that is where most restaurant searches happen.
Features demonstrated
Starters to drinks, readable on any phone and indexable by search engines.
Date, time and party size in a single compact form (simulated).
Add dishes and see a running total for collection or delivery (simulated).
A scroll-driven showcase of the room and the kitchen sets the mood.

Technology overview
The page is rendered on demand by the studio's template engine from a handful of parameters — template, business name, city and phone. No per-site build or database record exists.
